Educational Qualifications
  • Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent qualification acknowledged by the Central Government.
  • Candidates in their Final Year/Semester of Graduation can apply provisionally, but they must provide proof of graduation by 31.12.2023 if called for an interview.
  • Candidates with Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificates should have passed IDD by 31.12.2023.
  • Candidates possessing qualifications in fields such as Medicine, Engineering, Chartered Accountancy, Cost Accountancy, etc., are also eligible.
Age Criteria
  • Applicants should not be below 21 years old and not above 30 years old as of 01.04.2023.
  • Candidates must have been born not later than 01.04.2002 and not earlier than 02.04.1993 (inclusive of both dates).
Age Relaxation
  • Relaxation in the upper age limit will be granted according to the norms and regulations set by the Government.

Selection Process for SBI Probationary Officers
Phase I: Preliminary Examination
  • Preliminary Examination constitutes the initial phase of the selection process.
  • It consists of an Objective Test conducted online.
  • The test is for 100 marks and has a duration of 1 hour.
  • There are 3 sections in the test, each with separate timings.

Phase II: Main Examination
  • Main Examination serves as the second phase of the selection process.
  • Details about the Main Examination format and content may be provided separately.
  • Merit lists will be prepared separately for each category.
  • These lists will be based on the aggregate marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination.
  • There will be no specific sectional cut-off marks.
  • Approximately 10 times the number of vacancies available in each category will be shortlisted.
  • Candidates to be shortlisted will be selected from the top of the aforementioned merit list.
