At Amazon Data Services India Private Limited (“ADSIPL”), we are seeking skilled Data Centre Operation Technicians passionate about technology to elevate AWS Cloud offerings. As we expand our Data Centers in India to meet increasing demand for disk and network capacity, our CloudFront service has expanded its global presence by over 50% in the last year, with further growth anticipated. This expansion necessitates talented individuals to construct and manage these facilities. Join us in shaping the future of Cloud technology as part of the world’s most Customer-Centric Company. Location for this role is flexible, with opportunities available across various locations in India. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in state-of-the-art data centers, playing a pivotal role in advancing Cloud technology in India.

Responsibilities:
  • Support DC infrastructure equipment, including racks, servers, networking devices, hardware components, and cables.
  • Perform routine operational activities on hardware and operating systems, such as rack installation, server break/fix, and rack decommissioning.
  • Follow well-defined SOPs to replace hardware components or media spares.
  • Collaborate with team members to execute similar tasks and hand off work during shift changes.
  • Address issues promptly and within the specified SLAs.
  • Document work in a ticket tracking system and manage inventory as needed.
  • Adhere to information security policies and physical safety practices.
  • Escalate deviations from established processes or procedures.
  • Escort visitors or contractors as required.
  • Conduct work professionally as a member of the AWS global support team.
  • Uphold safety, security, and inclusivity standards at all times.
Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Education in STEM classes or vocational courses.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and applications.
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week, with overtime as necessary.
  • Flexibility to work 10-hour shifts when required.
  • Experience in managing tasks and priorities through a ticketing system, including coordination with managers.
Additionally:
  • This role involves physical tasks, including lifting and racking equipment up to 20kg and working in cramped or elevated spaces while following health and safety guidelines.
  • The position requires 24×7 shift rotation.
