Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain professional certification in Business Continuity Planning (BCP), such as DRII and/or ISO 22301.
  • Ensure 24/7/365 availability to respond to major service-disrupting events.
  • Drive the ongoing enhancement of Sutherland’s Business Continuity Program by developing and delivering training that emphasizes internationally recognized Business Continuity Management standards.
  • Create written Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans for all SGS global business operations and manage the resulting portfolio of documents within the Fusion Risk Management tool. Ensure accuracy through periodic updates in accordance with DRII/ISO 22301/ISO27001/BCI standards.
  • Maintain and distribute site/regional dashboards containing relevant Business Continuity Management (BCM) metrics.
  • Conduct quarterly meetings with Senior Management to provide updates on the Business Continuity Program status for accounts under your purview.
  • Offer logistical support to the Crisis Management Team, including coordinating meetings, communications, and documenting events.
  • Develop and implement cost-effective business resiliency strategies to ensure the organization’s survival in the event of a catastrophic disruption of business operations. This strategy development encompasses the organizational response to disasters at the Enterprise, Regional, Site, and BOP Levels.
  • Coordinate and execute on-site Disaster Recovery test exercises to validate SGS’s ability to meet documented recovery objectives.
  • Conduct Vulnerability Assessments as needed, both for internal facilities and mission-critical vendor facilities.
Qualifications
  • Provide on-site expertise and support to Service Delivery and Business Development during client visits at any of SGS’s facilities.
  • Establish, record, put into practice, and instruct staff on protocols and practices to ensure efficient incident management.
  • Be on-site and coordinate the communication process during service-disrupting events on a global scale.
  • Upon request, offer support to the TCO (Technical Change Office) to generate all documentation related to outage events, spanning from detection to Root Cause Analysis.
  • Plan, execute, be on-site for, document, and communicate all major Change Management events for Enterprise Systems. This includes developing impact mitigation strategies tailored to individual client requirements, regardless of geographic location.
  • Engage in ad-hoc Project Management activities as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between IT, SGS management, Client management, and Vendor management to convey the status of mitigation strategies developed during the Root Cause Analysis documentation process.
  • Collaborate with counterparts within SGS to facilitate the establishment of a global standard for processes and procedures aligned with SGS’s strategic goals and responsive to the needs of the global client base.
